Congratulations to our Director Mike Cosy for achieving fellow status of the Chartered Association of Building Engineers
FCABE is the highest possible UK qualification in the area of building engineering and is only awarded to someone who has demonstrated a commitment to excellence through their professional positions and contribution to the field.
According to the CABE website a Chartered Fellow has: “achieved recognised outstanding eminence in research, practice or teaching of the arts and sciences concerned with the built environment.”
Mike Cosy has been in the construction industry for over 35 years. He has bachelor degrees in Civil Engineering, Mathematics and multiple postgraduate qualifications. After working many years designing and project managing in residential and commercial sectors he started to concentrate on surveying & engineering to support his skills and further the level of services he could deliver. Now qualified in all aspects of building surveying and building engineering his plethora of qualifications include FCABE (Chartered Association of Building Engineers) and MRICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
Mike set up Cosey Homes back in 2003, originally an estate agent, the company has evolved to become a Chartered Surveying practice dedicated to all aspects of surveying & building engineering, employing a number of surveyors with varied specialisms. In addition, the company also trade under the name of Cosey Rentals, a lettings & property management service regulated by both RICS and ARLA who serve many hundreds of landlords throughout the local area.
Moving forward, Mike aims to take the company further, extending services across the north of England, and continuing to deliver the exceptionally high standards he has demanded throughout his career.
