Following our previous update regarding our reopening and policies for social distancing, we are continuing to operate with the highest consideration for public health. Our social distancing policies, along with procedures for safer property inspections, have been successful in their implementation and uptake. Clients, vendors, and property agents continue to be understanding and helpful. It has been refreshing to see the outstanding cooperation of property professionals and their clients in the effort to keep everybody safe. All involved are playing their part in the national effort to keep the economy on track and family lives moving forward.
Despite the lockdown, the property market has recently seen a surge in activity. Several factors continue to impact the market, keeping prices buoyant and activity stable. These include the continued low level of supply, the stamp duty holiday, and the furlough scheme. These factors have been compounded by an unexpected impact of lockdown, which has seen many people re-evaluate what they need from a home, driven by home working and a desire for space outdoors.

Update 10/09/20 – As of 14/09/20 new restrictions will be in place across much of the UK. Please be advised that these restrictions will not interfere with our operations. Our strict social distancing policies are more than sufficient to ensure we are adhering to the guidelines with regards to property inspections. You can read about our policies in our last update. These recent government restrictions outline the importance of staying alert and not becoming complacent. We welcome, support, and encourage all national and local restrictions made to suppress the spread of the virus, and hope these help us return to normal as quickly as possible.
